A parts supplier with a blog? What is this, bizarro world?

Nope, this is all part of the new US Trailer Parts & Supply approach to heavy duty transportation part supply. We believe that

the old ways have their merits - we wouldn't want to take away the personal relationships that have been the bedrock of our industry. We maintain a large sales team for just that reason. It's vitally important to have that relationship, so you can be fully informed when things happen, and in a better position to serve your customers.

But time marches on. We are living in a digital age, where communication is expected to be instantaneous. Increasingly we are also seeing a demand for more information, more options, more customization, and all of that right now. Because we are focused on being your first call when you need parts or supplies, it makes sense to start something like this, to keep you in the loop, and provide the information and perspectives that you won't see elsewhere. This will be a place where we can discuss industry trends and issues, showcase new products, and even advertise sales.

To begin, let me introduce US Trailer. We started in 1980 and have grown to be one of the most well-known suppliers in Chicago. We have revitalized our leadership, and built a focus on customer service, support, and growth. As part of our rebirth, we have invested over a million dollars into expanding what we can do and will continue to invest in our growth and your success.

We believe:

A rising tide raises all boats.

When you do well, we do well, and we do that by being there when you need us, when we say we will, and with the stock and options to make you more profitable. That just make sense. Part of that formula is finding ways to help you do well. We offer options on parts – from OEM to OEM-quality aftermarket. With options, you can increase your bottom line, and save your customers money. Everyone wins.

Always your partner, never your competitor.

We sell parts. You use them to do repairs. And everyone wins. At US Trailer, we don’t do repairs. We don’t believe it’s right or honest to compete with you as we try to sell to you. It’s easy…when you buy supplies from someone who also operates repair shops, you are putting money in your competitor’s pockets. And that doesn’t make sense.

Yes, we can do that.

If you keep being told ‘no’, do you want to go back? Of course not. We wouldn’t either. US Trailer is in the business of saying yes. Sometimes that means ‘yes, and we’ll figure out how later’, but we believe in saying yes. If we want to earn your business and trust, we need to be willing to do more, and do it better than the others.

Honesty matters, and people notice when you aren’t.

That is also self-explanatory. Like the shop that always says no, do you want to do business with someone who intentionally misleads you, or even flat-out lies to you? Of course not! We don’t either. So far as we know, no one is doing that, but we take it further. Sometimes the yes answer has to be followed by an explanation of why it may be a bit to accomplish, or why something else might serve you better. We know that’s a thin line to walk, but our commitment to you means we take that seriously. Honesty, it’s just the right way to do business.
